	GK Audio Visual offer a hassle-free installation service of your A/V needs. Described below is a typical classroom installation, such as shown in the accompanying image.

The interactive whiteboard is mounted on the wall of the classroom at an appropriate height for the age of the pupils. The projector will be mounted on the ceiling using a ceiling bracket of a type compatible with the ceiling construction. The VGA and video cables will be run from the projector through surface mounted white plastic trunking to an appropriately positioned faceplate connection point on the wall. All cabling from the projector and whiteboard is terminated at the faceplate connection point. This will then allow all suitable connections to be made via cables to the PC. Thus you can connect both a computer and a VCR or DVD player to your projector. Speakers will be mounted on the wall either side of the whiteboard, and the amplifier mounted next to the connection plate.

An electrical supply for the system can simply be sourced from a 13A socket should one be available in a convenient location. Alternatively we will install a switched fused spur specifically for the projector (and sound system) with dedicated 13A outlets. All electrical installation work is carried out to BS7671 and a Minor Works certificate issued.

Once the audio, video and electrical connections have been completed, the projector and sound system will be tested, and the projector will be aligned to the whiteboard.

Once the tests have been completed and the installation finished, the software drivers for the whiteboard will be installed on the (provided) computer to enable the operation of the whiteboard to be checked. Operation of the complete system will then be demonstrated to your staff member, and finally the installation is handed over.

	Case Studies


	Rosemellin School

We have been working for Rosemellin for a few years now. A long term project is that of gradually replacing all of the old projectors in the classrooms with new ones. This is done on the basis of 'as the old ones fail'.

3 years ago we also fitted out the main hall with what was the first of many similar projects, though to date this one remains the biggest. The main hall now boasts the following equipment...

It is dominated by a Mitsubishi projector on a 10ft electric screen. To the left of the 'stage' area, we fitted an A/V rack containing an audio amplifier, video/DVD player, freeview reciever, and a connection plate. This gives the staff the facility of using the projector for computer display, or any type of video signal, plus sound, and finally the facility for 1 microphone, useful for presentations, assembly, parent's meetings etc. We then supplied a secondary sound system in a wheeled rack containing a multi-channel mixer, double CD player and a radio mic. This system is thus primarily used for school concerts & plays, but by taking the speakers off the wall, the unit can be taken outside and used as a PA system for Sports Days.


	Finally, we fitted a 'Trilite' aluminium truss across the hall, on which we hung the projector, and then used this to upgrade the existing stage lighting system.


		Trevisker School

	Another school with which we have a regular relationship. We first of all fitted out their main hall with a ceiling projector and sound system, and at the same time fitted out one classroom with a projector and interactive whiteboard.

Upon our next visit to the school one year later, we fitted out three further classrooms with a ceiling projector / whiteboard / sound system bundle.

	Carbeile School


	This was a standard main hall installation, like Trevisker, but this time with a very powerful Sanyo projector for maximum picture clarity.


		St. Meriadoc School

	St. Meriadoc school is one of our most recent projects. It involved installing seven complete whiteboard / projector / sound system bundles, to kit out all of the classrooms in the whole school.
